Royal Ascot Day 3 Tips

First up on day three is a fast one; the Norfolk Stakes is only five furlongs long, so it is a perfect way for the horses to show off their speed. A quick-paced race is the most exciting way to kick off the day ahead. A previous winning jockey is Wesley Ward, who has won this race twice, once in 2013 with No Nay Never and again in 2018 with Shang Shang Shang.

The next race is only for horses aged three. The King George V Stakes is a middle-distance race and has commonly been won by Mark Johnston, who has won six times.

Third on day three is the Ribblesdale Stakes; this race has been won four times by subsequent Group 1 winners (in the last five runnings). 

The race following the Ribblesdale Stakes is probably the most stand-out race of the five days, the Gold Cup.
