Car Insurance In Manchester: Ultimate Guide

If you’re a car owner in Manchester, then you know that car insurance is a necessary evil. After all, no one wants to pay for something that they may never use. But the truth is, car insurance is an important safety net that can protect you financially if you’re ever involved in an accident.

With so many different car insurance options available, it can be tough to know which one is right for you. That’s why we’ve put together this ultimate guide on how to shop for car insurance in Manchester. We’ll help you understand the different types of coverage available and how to choose the best policy for your needs.

So, whether you’re a first-time buyer or a seasoned veteran, this guide will give you all the information you need to make the best decision for your car insurance needs.

Types of Car Insurance Coverage

There are three main types of car insurance coverage: liability, collision, and comprehensive. Let’s take a look at each one in more detail:

Liability Coverage: This type of coverage protects you financially if you’re found at fault for an accident. It can help pay for things like repairs to the other driver’s vehicle, medical expenses, and legal fees.

Collision Coverage: This type of coverage helps pay for repairs to your own vehicle if it’s damaged in an accident. It can also help pay for a rental car while your vehicle is being repaired.

Comprehensive Coverage: This type of coverage helps pay for repairs to your own vehicle if it’s damaged by something other than an accident, such as theft or vandalism. It can also help pay for a rental car while your vehicle is being repaired.

Car insurance coverage limits

Car insurance coverage limits help to set the maximum amount that an insurance company will pay for damages resulting from an accident. There are typically two types of coverage limits: per-person and per-accident.

The per-person limit is the maximum amount that the insurer will pay for each individual injured in an accident, regardless of how many people were involved. The per-accident limit is the maximum amount that the insurer will pay for all injuries and damage caused by an accident, regardless of how many people were involved.

In most states, insurers are required to offer a minimum level of coverage, but drivers can purchase additional coverage if they wish. Limits can be expressed as a dollar amount or as a percentage of the driver’s total coverage.

For example, a policy with £50,000 in coverage may have a per-person limit of £25,000 and a per-accident limit of £50,000. Or, it may have a per-person limit of £50,000 and a per-accident limit of 100%.

Most policies also have a deductible, which is the amount that the driver must pay out-of-pocket before the insurer will pay any benefits. Deductibles are typically expressed as a dollar amount or as a percentage of the driver’s coverage limit. For example, a policy with £50,000 in coverage and a £500 deductible has a 1% deductible. A policy with £50,000 in coverage and a £5,000 deductible has a 10% deductible.

Choosing the Right Policy

Now that you understand the different types of coverage available, it’s time to choose the right policy for your needs. The best way to do this is to work with an independent insurance agent who can help you compare rates from multiple insurers. They can also help you customize your policy to make sure you’re getting the coverage you need at a price that fits your budget.

Reeds Solicitors secures position in The Times Best Law Firms list

Leading national law firm with a strong presence in Manchester, Reeds Solicitors LLP (Reeds), has secured a position in the latest list of The Times Best Law Firms.

Published today, The Times Best Law Firms is in its fifth year running.  Compiled by The Times newspaper and the independent market-research company Statista, the list identifies the leading 250 law firms in England & Wales and the leading 20 firms in Scotland.

The award-winning criminal defence and multi-disciplinary law firm prides itself as providing a high-quality service, tailored to the unique circumstances of each client. Each local office has been moulded to the needs of the community it serves.  The leading practice has been shortlisted for a number of awards including Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year and Lexis Nexis’ Wellbeing awards; and has been recognised yet again for the quality of its services with a listing in the Legal 500 as a Top Tier Criminal Defence practice.

Commenting on the listings Reeds’ managing partner, Jan Matthews said:

“Despite the turmoil in the legal industry, ongoing political upheaval, and economic uncertainty affecting the UK, we are proud to continue to be recognised for our expansion and fantastic work in serving our local communities.  Never has it been more important to do so than today with the current cost of living crisis.

To be recognised as one of the UK’s leading firms is quite the achievement particularly as we continue to offer legal aid across a number of our areas of law, despite the lack of funding across the board.  The long-standing underinvestment of the criminal justice system makes us even more determined to continue to provide these much-needed services.  To ensure we are in a position to provide help no matter what our clients’ circumstances, we plan to continue our national expansion with both bespoke privately funded and legal aid services across England and Wales.”

Law Firm Flint Bishop secures a double win at National Credit Awards

Time for celebrations for Flint Bishop, a law firm who was awarded two wins at the National Credit Awards, organised by MoneyAge. Already boasting a rapidly expanding portfolio of awards, the Debt Recovery team can now add the titles of ‘Legal Firm of the Year’ and ‘Debt Collection Team of the Year’ to their list – a worthy landmark success for the department and the firm.

The ceremony took place at the prestigious Waldorf Hilton in London on 20 October where Flint Bishop’s Head of Debt Services, Niall Gilhooley, and Client Relationship Manager, Pete Littlefair, accepted the awards.

The National Credit Awards reward outstanding achievements in the UK credit space and honour the exceptional professionals and firms in the many varied fields of the credit industry. Their purpose is to promote best practice to support continuing development, and of course to recognise and celebrate firms’ hard work. The National Credit Awards have had a positive impact on raising the standards within the credit arena.

The team stood out against the crowd thanks to its use of data analytics to drive recoveries. Their data rich insights help to optimise collection strategies, identify trends, assist with financial forecasting, drive improved return on investment, and identify any potential changes required to the client’s own internal credit and collections processes.

However, the panel of judges were also impressed by the team’s continued improvement initiatives, such as strategies to maximise pre-litigation collections. This approach has proven to deliver a staggering pre-litigation recovery rate that saves clients substantial amounts in costs.

Gilhooley commented: “This award represents the great strides the department has made over the past year. We are extremely proud to have been able to strike a balance between acting ethically for both our clients and their debtors while still delivering unparalleled collection results.”

Chief Executive Qamer Ghafoor added: “I am extremely proud of everyone who contributes to the continuous success of our Debt Recovery operation, which has again resulted in us being nationally recognised for our expertise within the credit industry.

“The team has been going from strength to strength and constantly challenging themselves to develop and improve the service we provide to our clients. This success has manifested from not only our continued investment in technology, but also from the incredible talent of our people.”
