The CEO of the N1 Investment Fund and the shareholder of Parimatch, Nykyta Izmaylov from Ukraine, became an investor in a British startup together with the ex-deputy chairman of the Gazprombank, Oleg Vaksman from Russia
Nykyta Izmaylov (Nikita Izmaylov) is an investor and founder of N1 Investment Fund, as well as a shareholder of Parimatch in Ukraine. In the spring of 2023, he made an investment into the SteadyPay startup by Steadypay Limited, registered in the UK. The second investor is the former deputy chairman of the Management Board of the Russian “Gazprombank”, Oleg (Alan) Vaksman. The relevant information has been officially published and is available in the open register of legal entities in the UK.
The official website of the N1 Investment Fund has a dedicated section, where one can find even more information about the SteadyPay lending platform.
Interestingly, according to his official background, Oleg (Alan) Vaksman was educated in South Africa, where he even had some time to work in a bank. Later, he moved to work in London. During the period from 2010 to December 2018, he was a member of the Management Board, the First Vice President, and the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprombank in Russia. The permanent chairman of the Management Board of this bank is Gazprom CEO, Alexey Miller, who is part of Vladimir Putin’s inner circle.
According to the British registers, Oleg (Alan) Vaksman has South African citizenship. At the same time, according to Russian media, he also has Russian citizenship. At Gazprombank, he was engaged in Private Banking, and personal banking services for VIP customers from the political elite of the Russian Federation.
There are high chances that he decided to use his citizenship in South Africa and change his name in order not to fall under sanctions, since the United Kingdom, the USA, and European countries imposed sanctions against Gazprombank and related persons after February 24, 2022. Oleg Vaksman’s wife Irina is from Russia, which is confirmed by the British registers.
Oleg Vaksman is one of the founders of the Digital Horizon Foundation.
This company invests in high-tech B2B projects in Europe, Russia, and Israel. There is no information about the origin of the funds for the project.
According to his interview, Nykyta Izmaylov began working at Parimatch bookmaking company as a financial director in 2012. Just a few years later, he became a shareholder of the company, thus earning his first million. According to him, he invested about $10 million of personal funds in the N1 Investment Fund. Just a few years ago, Nykyta Izmaylov, using the money received from Parimatch, launched the Sportbank virtual bank, which was based on Taskombank belonging to Sergey Tigipko, as well as several companies that are engaged in issuing microloans.
We would like to remind the audience that just a few months ago, the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) imposed sanctions against Parimatch for a period of 50 years due to ties with Russia.
There are high chances that Ukrainian and foreign law enforcement agencies, as well as the National Bank of Ukraine, will soon show interest in Nykyta Izmaylov’s business and Russian connections, the origin of funds, investments in Sportbank, as well as the withdrawal of money abroad.
