Appointment of Richard Waterworth as Sales Director further strengthens Board of Management at eStar Truck & Van

eStar Truck & Van, the newest Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Vans business in the North West and North Wales, has further strengthened its board of management with the appointment of Richard Waterworth as Sales Director.

Richard joins eStar from Isuzu Truck UK, where he was most recently head of sales for the brand, and has more than 30 years of commercial vehicle experience.

The move is the latest high-profile appointment from eStar, having previously secured former Mercedes-Benz Vans UK managing director, Steve Bridge, who now heads up the business, former group financial controller from Moneysupermarket Group, Chris Bevan, as finance director, and Chris Taylor, former group service director at Rygor, now operations director at eStar.

With the introduction of the new board, who all bring a wealth of industry experience, as well as a commitment to the wellbeing and development of the 300-strong team, eStar has been making its presence felt in the relatively short time that the company has been operational. The brand is committed to creating an exceptional experience for the region’s commercial vehicle community.

Commenting on the appointment, Steve Bridge, managing director, eStar Truck & Van, said: “We’re pleased to welcome Richard to our business. Attracting the best people to eStar is something we’re priding ourselves on, with a significant focus on future technologies and alternative fuels, so Richard and his extensive expertise, long history of supporting the truck and van community, and technical knowledge makes him the perfect addition to our board.”

Richard added: “I’m looking forward to getting to know the eStar customers, and joining eStar during what is proving to be a very busy and successful time for the business. The commercial vehicle sector is one which I am incredibly proud to work in, so I can’t wait to get started now and continue to be part of the brand’s growth.”
