Staff from construction project management consultancy Recom Solutions will scale the heights next month as they aim to raise £5,000 for Cancer Research UK.
They will join friends, relatives and industry partners in a group of 20 who will tackle the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Sunday, April 15.
The 24-mile route will take the group to the summits of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in the Yorkshire Dales.
The participants will include staff at Liverpool consultancy Hardcastle and Hogarth, which is owned by Recom.
Recom has a strong association with Cancer Research UK in Manchester, having been commissioned to project-manage the disaster recovery response following a fire last April at the Paterson Building, a CRUK facility at The Christie cancer hospital.
The Recom team managed the fit-out of temporary accommodation at Alderley Park in Cheshire and planned and implemented the phased move of the CRUK staff to the site.
Associate director Sarah Leadbetter, who is organising the Three Peaks Challenge event, said: “Cancer Research UK is a cause close to our hearts and to the many people and families who are affected by the illness each year.
“Over the past year, we have met many of the researchers and seen the mind-blowing work they undertake.
“We are very proud to continue our support for such a worthwhile charity and every penny we raise will go towards helping them with its essential work.”
